LUISA MESA Mesa’s creative process is spontaneous and intuitive. The use of line, repetition and layering is predominant in her work and her artistic language has emerged in an unpremeditated fashion. Mesa allows uncertainty to be a part of her creative process, thus allowing intuition and spontaneity to dictate the course of her work. Mesa’s installations are her interpretation of a macrocosm. Each one of her multilayered pieces are unique, while relating to the other pieces in the installation, symbolizing that while we perceive ourselves as individuals, everything is connected to everything else. Mesa has exhibited her work in numerous venues, is included in several important collections, and is an Artist-in-Residence at ArtCenter/ South Florida. |
