Amalia Caputo












Amalia Caputo is a contemporary artist, art historian and writer. Working at the intersection of photography, video and installation, her conceptual practice is related to the feminine, the archive, identity and memory. Born in Caracas, Caputo studied art history at the Universidad Central de Venezuela before earning her MFA in Photography and Studio Art from the Steinhart School of Art at the University of New York and the International Center of Photography. She holds an extensive list of exhibitions and publications worldwide and her work is represented in various public and private collections. Lives and works in Miami since 2003.
