Jill Hotchkiss uses living plants, water, rock, wood, and copper to bring to the foreground natural elements which are normally thought of as background. Her multi faceted practice comprises a series of observational drawings and prints that also serve as blueprints for three-dimensional works in the form of sculpture and installation. She is a native Floridian who received her Bachelor Fine Arts from the University of Florida and continued her studies at the School of Visual Art (SVA) in New York City.
