Jayoung Yoon has been dealing with the perception of the present for the past year.  Her work is a realization that people can feel ‘now’, physically and emotionally.  Yoon’s delicate sculptures are made of thread and hair.  They are also used in video performances as well. 
While at the ArtCenter she wants to collaborate with other ArtCenter artists and work with ideas around perception, imagination, and materiality in the context of the body.  Yoon will only be in residence for the summer.
