On view through September 15

Michel de Certeau notes that modern individuals “make innumerable and infinitesimal transformations of and within the dominant cultural economy in order to adapt it to their own interests and their own rules”.  It is with these invented and ordered tactics of altering situations and spaces—poaching, remixing, and producing alternatives to the scriptedness of art nowadays—that we are aiming to collaborate, re-create, re-adapt and fill the space. They demonstrate that the potentiality for new ways of being and experiencing already exist before us in the tools we have at hand. What results is an aesthetic that advocates radical inventiveness, rather than a blind call for an already invented and flat revolution.
