Goran Petrović Lotina is a researcher, curator and theorist in visual and performing arts and film. He holds Master Degrees in Art History from the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and Art and Politics from Sciences Po Paris: Institute of Political Studies (France). Currently, he is a PhD candidate at Ghent University (Belgium). Petrović’s research combines art theory with political philosophy to examine the political dimension of art. His main point of interest is to explore how art, and contemporary dance in particular, contests dominant politics and invigorates democracy. As a theorist and curator, Petrović has published on the subject of contemporary art and political discourses in art theory. He has collaborated with numerous institutions, such as MoCA Belgrade, CAC Adelaide, Kaaitheater Brussels, CCA Sarajevo, Kunstahelle Wien, Kran Film Copenhagen, AIR-Krems Austria and Fogo Island Arts Canada, among others.
