ArtCenter/South Florida is pleased to announce that TVGOV was selected to participate in the 9th Berlin Biennale’s DISCREET- An Intelligence Agency for the People for Contemporary Art taking place on June 22 – July 11, 2016. Formed by alumni from ArtCenter on Lincoln Road and ArtCenter in Downtown, TVGOV is a research collective organized in Miami, FL in 2015, by Sofia Bastidas (EC), Nicole Doran (US), Peter Fend (US), Guillermo León Gómez (US), and Agustina Woodgate (AR).

With funds from Miami Dade County’s International Cultural Exchange Grant, the ArtCenter is able to provide meaningful art experiences for artists and curators to present their work abroad and elevate the city’s image. The grant will cover participants’ travel expenses and stipends for the duration of the project.

A review committee including DISCREET organizers, Armen Avanessian and Alexander Martos, selected TVGOV as one of the fifteen participants who will take an active role in a three-week-long workshop for the formation and development of a civil secret service organization. The workshop will bring together experts from a variety of fields including art, technology, politics, law, and finance in order to create a new agency for the 21st century.
