ArtCenter is proud to announce the launch of a new program designed for local teens, ARTech. With the generous support of the Best Buy Foundation and the cooperation of Miami Beach Senior High, ArtCenter will be able to provide classes, free of charge, to qualifying teens over the course of the next 12 months.
The goal of ARTech is to give teens the tools they need to merge technology and art making to create sellable works of art. Each ARTech session will consist of three digital photo classes, 3 printmaking classes and two classes on marketing. Community service and employment opportunities in our printmaking facility will also be available to qualified participants. Students of ARTech will also have the chance to sell their works at ArtCenter events, through a special ARTech store on www.etsy.com and at ArtCenter’s print lab during open lab hours.
