Rosa Naday Garmendia’s mixed media, installation WHAT NEXT? – A Potential Conversation, shifts, transforms and adapts to the different locations selected on the Windows @ Walgreens exhibition tour, addressing social and philosophical issues of life. By using letters and Spanglish phrases, she engages with Miami Beach visitors and residents in their everyday lives to find purpose and meaning in the issues they are facing—from the personal to the global. Garmendia is particularly interested in creating a space for the viewer to wonder, explore, interpret, be provoked, or find purpose and meaning.
“As an artist I want to bring art out of the studio and closer to everyday life.”- Rosa Naday Garmendia
