Inspired by an open-ended psychological term, the exhibition, Altered States of Consciousness (ASC) features manipulated imagery, photography, sound, gaming, installation, ceramics, and more, which move viewers to experience other states of being in the world today.
Ephemeral and transcendent yet grounded in reflexivity, the works in this vitally multimedia’d exhibition are neither optimistically utopic nor devastatingly dystopic, rather they seduce the viewer through visuals and technique past the passive role of spectator and into the dynamic role of accomplice.
